Volunteers Needed for 2026 Mock Trial Competition

The TBA Young Lawyers Division's Mock Trial Committee is seeking sitting judges and attorneys to serve as volunteers at the 2026 Tennessee State High School Mock Trial Competition, which will take place March 20-21 in Nashville. The case material was released in November and district mock trial competitions will take place in February. Teams will argue the criminal case of State of Tennessee v. Alex Callahan. Teams prevailing at the district level will advance to the state competition. The problem, rules and other competition information can be found on the TBA website. This year also marks the second Artist in the Courtroom Contest, which invites student artists to interpret mock trial courtroom scenes during the district competition. The top three entries will be announced at the state competition award ceremony. The top student artist is eligible to join the state championship team in representing Tennessee at the National High School Mock Trial Championship in Des Moines, Iowa, on May 7-9. Those interested in helping at the state competition should indicate availability using this form.
