TBA Membership Information
Membership in the Tennessee Bar Association is open to all licensed attorneys in good standing and active Tennessee law school students.
TBA Membership package includes full access to all TBA member benefits and services. This includes free access to online legal research through Fastcase and 3 hours of CLE programming. These prepaid CLE credits can be used at any onsite or online program presented by the TBA. For more details contact the TBA Membership Director.
The Patron Membership level provides attorneys full access to all TBA member benefits and services, and allows members to help support programs that assist TBA attorneys and the public, such as the Tuition Assistance Program, TBA Mentoring Program, Practice Management Resources, Public Civics Education, Leadership Law Programs, Access to Justice efforts and more.
DUES OPTIONS
The TBA offers several dues options to help meet your individual circumstances. These categories are shown below for the TBA’s fiscal year, which runs from July 1 through June 30. You can join the TBA through the TBA.org website or by contacting the TBA at 615-383-7421.
PATRON MEMBERSHIP — $440 (prorated to $220.00 from January 1 through March 30)
THE COMPLETE MEMBERSHIP — $315 (prorated to $157.50 from January 1 through March 30)
LAW STUDENT MEMBERSHIP — No Charge! — Includes full access to TBA member services, including Fastcase and CLE programming. See details on TBA's law student program.
SENIOR COUNSELOR — The TBA Senior Counselor Membership is $50 for TBA member attorneys who have been TBA members for at least five of the past 10 years and will have practiced 50 years or who will reach age 75 during this TBA membership year.
SENIOR COUNSELOR PATRON MEMBERSHIP — $125
THE COMPLETE MEMBERSHIP: INCOME-BASED
“Income” is law-related salary, wages or income after deducting office overhead and other ordinary and necessary business expenses but before taxes, FICA, insurance and pension contributions for the current year.
