The Tennessee Bar Association is excited to offer its members a unique opportunity to travel abroad to Cuba. To navigate current Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regulations and restrictions, TBA has asked CLE Abroad and Cuba Cultural Travel (CCT) to curate this once in a lifetime educational experience for our members. CLE Abroad and CCT have refined the details of the trip, and members will work directly with them to receive more information and to register for the trip.

The points of contact are:

CLICK HERE to access the itinerary and registration form. Please note that your registration is confirmed ONLY by completing the registration form and mailing it (via snail mail) and your deposit to CCT. Once your materials have been received by CCT, you will receive a confirmation email that will include travel insurance recommendations.

Registration is on a first come, first served basis. Space is extremely limited.
To ensure your spot we recommend getting your registration form and deposit in as early as possible.

*** PLEASE NOTE: THERE IS NO ELECTRONIC REGISTRATION. REGISTRATION IS CONFIRMED ONLY AFTER CCT RECEIVES YOUR REGISTRATION FORM AND DEPOSIT. THIS IS DUE TO OFAC RESTRICTIONS AND CCT POLICY. ***

IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS POLICY, PLEASE CONTACT CATALINA SYKES at Catalina@cubaculturaltravel.com

TO RESERVE YOUR SPOT:

  • Download and print the registration form. (Go ahead and print it out because you must mail a hard copy to CCT along with your deposit.)
  • Read the registration form carefully and note:
    • Registration is on a first come, first served basis. Space is extremely limited. Because of that we recommend getting your registration form and deposit in as early as possible.
    • Your passport must be valid for 6 months after the dates of travel. If you need to renew your passport, do so immediately.
    • Registration is for TBA members and one guest. The guest does not have to be a TBA member. When you send the registration form in to CCT, either Guest 1 or Guest 2 must be a TBA member.
    • We anticipate 6 hours of CLE will be available on the trip.
    • What is included and not included in your costs is clearly indicated on the registration form.
    • Deposit due dates are clearly indicated on the registration form.
    • Registration is confirmed by completing and returning the registration form and your deposit to the address clearly indicated on the registration form.
    • Once your materials have been received by CCT, you will receive a confirmation email that will include information about next steps and travel insurance recommendations.
    • Per CCT: Trips to Cuba involve a lot of walking on uneven cobblestone streets and involves stairs where an elevator is rarely available. Participants must be able to walk unassisted, as Cuba is NOT able to make accommodations.
    • If you have questions concerning registration/payment, contact Catalina Sykes at Catalina@cubaculturaltravel.com

The day-to-day activities listed on the itinerary are subject to change. Alternative activities for the non-attorney guests may be planned, although our travel experts, Daniel and Catalina, would argue that the CLE courses are interesting and informative, and appeal to a wider demographic beyond strictly lawyers. For more information about the itinerary, contact Daniel Perez at Daniel@cubaculturaltravel.com.
