Know Before You Go: Preparing for the TBA Annual Convention
Thank you for registering to join us at the 144th Annual TBA Convention in Franklin! We look forward to welcoming you next week at the Franklin Marriott Cool Springs for the largest gathering of the Tennessee legal community. In addition to the TBA, the Tennessee Alliance of Black Lawyers (TABL) and the Tennessee Lawyers’ Association for Women will be holding their meetings at the hotel. Several events will bring all three groups together, providing opportunities for lawyers from across the state to connect. Members of the Tennessee Judicial Conference also will be joining us for several events.
Here is some information to help prepare you for the event. If you have any questions or issues that arise next week, please contact our Convention customer service team at convention@tnbar.org.
Convention Schedule
All events will take place at the hotel unless otherwise indicated. All times are in Central Daylight Time. The full schedule is posted online and a link to this webpage will be printed on the back of your name badge. Your name badge, which will be color coded, also will serve as your ticket to all events.
TBA Registration
The TBA Registration Desk will be located in the Main Hallway of the Franklin Marriott Cool Springs’ Conference Center. Signage will direct you to the desk from the hotel lobby
Dress
Dress for programming and lunches will be business attire. Dress for the receptions will be smart casual.
WI-FI
Complimentary WI-FI will be available in the conference center thanks to our sponsor JAMS. To access the network search for Marriott_CONFERENCE. Password is JAMS2025.
Attorney Work Space
The TBA again is providing a space for attendees to take a break, do some work or recharge devices. Thank you to Miles Mediation & Arbitration for sponsoring the Attorney Work Space, which will be located in the Mustang Room.
Daily Emails
All registrants will receive emails next week on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with event reminders and any changes to the schedule. If you do not receive Monday’s email please let us know.
Social Events
This year’s Convention includes several opportunities to network and socialize with colleagues. The Wednesday Opening Reception will feature an open bar and the first Convention give away. The Thursday night Bench Bar Reception will feature food, drinks, trivia and other games. High school students from Williamson County Public Schools also will be setting up a “pop up shop” to sell items they are making through the district’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center. Full registrants will receive two free drink tickets for that event. Dinner will be on your own after the reception. Restaurant recommendations from TBA members who live in the area are posted on the Convention website.
Complimentary Chair Massages
Complimentary five-minute chair massages will be available on a first-come first-serve basis on Thursday from 2 – 5 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to noon CDT. Sign up for an appointment on the large sign in front of the Morgan room. Thank you to Time Miner for providing this wonderful benefit and to Tennessee Chair Massage for a relaxing break for our attendees!
Walk-in Registrations
Online registration for the 2025 TBA Annual Convention will close Sunday night at 11:59 p.m. CDT. Individuals who want to register or purchase tickets to individual events after that point should visit the TBA Registration Desk at the Marriott Hotel. It is possible that some events will reach capacity, meaning no walk-up tickets will be available.
CLE Materials & Certification
All CLE materials and faculty bios will be available on the TBA Convention CLE webpage. Attendees also will certify their CLE hours online. Certification must be submitted by Friday, June 27, to receive credit. Access certification and evaluation forms.

Wednesday Reception Drawing
All convention registrants who indicated their email could be shared with sponsors automatically will be entered into our first drawing, which will be held Wednesday during the Welcome Reception. That winner will receive a ScanSnap document scanner from RICOH/UFW.
