Court: 6th Circuit Court (Published Opinions)

Attorneys 1: ON BRIEF: Christopher Wiest, CHRIS WIEST, ATTY AT LAW, PLLC, Covington, Kentucky, for Appellant.

Attorneys 2: ON BRIEF: Charles P. Wisdom Jr., Amanda Harris Huang, UNITED STATES ATTORNEY’S OFFICE, Lexington, Kentucky, for Appellee.

Judge(s): GILMAN, GRIFFIN, and MURPHY, Circuit Judges

Court Appealed: United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky at Pikeville

GRIFFIN, Circuit Judge. Robert Messersmith pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The district court sentenced him to a bottom-of-the-Guidelines sentence. Messersmith argues that the government breached the plea agreement at sentencing and that his sentence is unreasonable. We disagree and affirm.
