Before joining Vanderbilt's law faculty, Safstrom worked at Georgetown University Law Center and the American Civil Liberties Union of Virginia. She earned her law degree at Georgetown University Law Center and her bachelor of arts at the University of Miami. Safstrom serves on the YLD Board as the Chair of the Diversity Committee.
