As chair of the Immigration Law Section, I want to thank you for your section membership and your support for what we do each year.

As you know, each spring our section holds its annual Immigration Law Forum. This year, our annual forum will be held on April 18 in Nashville. I am excited about our top-notch line-up of government and nonprofit panelists, who will address current U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) processing policies, current Tennessee immigration law bills, civil rights/due process actions and current immigration advocacy projects.

In addition to the annual forum, our section presents immigration law-related CLE webcasts throughout the year. Our most recent programs cover immigration law compliance trends and how best to represent your clients in the context of immigration raids and site visits. If you missed them, you can always view these presentations in the TBA CLE Course Catalog.

Finally, our section also publishes this newsletter, in which seasoned practitioners share their insights about developing trends, agency updates and new laws and regulations that can have a major impact on the future of immigration law. Our newsletter strives to provide immigration law announcements and changes on a state, federal, and national law.

Thank you for your support of the TBA Immigration Law Section. If you have a friend or colleague who might be interested in joining our section, please feel free to contact me or our TBA staff coordinator Jamie Rhode. If you have ideas or thoughts for our section, or if you are interested in writing an article for the newsletter, please reach out to me.
