The TBA Public Education Conservatorship Portal is designed to pair attorneys with those in the community needing to establish conservatorship for their children upon turning 18. The programs' mission is to provide Pro Bono representation to those that cannot afford counsel to establish conservatorship. The program will educate and serve a currently, unserved community in TN. It will amplify the impact of resources currently provided by different entities and be housed in one central location. In the future, it will also be offered statewide. Currently, this is mainly available in Davidson county.

Our Goal- 50-100 lawyers can be trained to participate. Participation will be based on the needs of the community and school system. Currently, Metro Nashville schools has over 90 cases to be applicable. The other counties need is unknown.

Legal Aid offers a similar program for those up to a certain percentage of the Federal Poverty Level. This program would provide service to the gap of families who do not qualify for that service.

If you would like to see if you qualify for conservatorship or need help with conservatorship assistance, please complete the contact form. A legal representative will be in contact with follow-up questions regarding your case.
