The American Bar Association’s (ABA) Task Force for American Democracy will hold the second in a series of listening tour events this Friday in Detroit. The session will feature ABA leaders, local officials and legal scholars. The event, titled “Taking the Next Step: Ensuring Trusted Elections and Civics for Michiganders,” will address vital election integrity issues and the need to support poll workers. The Belmont University College of Law’s Legal Aid Society is holding a golf tournament on April 5 from noon to 5 p.m. CDT at the Towhee Golf Club in Spring Hill. Money raised during the "Putt for Pro Bono" tournament will be awarded to law students who commit their summers to working in unpaid, public interest internships. "Question, Persuade and Refer" (QPR) is designed so that anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide.
