Knox County Circuit Court Judge Deborah Stevens will conduct her motion docket at the Duncan School of Law on Nov. 21, with several of the law school classes in attendance. Court will begin at 9 a.m. on the 3rd floor in lecture hall 340.The school is located at 601 West Summit Hill Dr. Knoxville, TN 37902. Following the docket attorneys are asked to stay and participate in a short question and answer session and join students for lunch.

The Nashville Bar Association will conduct its 108th Memorial Service honoring deceased Nashville attorneys and judges on Nov. 20 at the Downtown Presbyterian Church at 11 a.m. There will be a reception immediately following the service in the church's Fellowship Hall. The Knoxville Bar Association will sponsor a memorial service on Nov. 21 at 3 p.m. at the Tennessee Supreme Court Courthouse, 505 Main St. in Knoxville. The service will be led by Supreme Court Justice Gary R. Wade and Rev. Charles W.B. Fels. A reception will follow.

The Knox County Juvenile Court will hold its annual Chili Cook-Off & Basket Auction for Kids this Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. All proceeds will benefit the court’s Volunteer Advisory Board and assist with hosting the annual Foster Care Appreciation Dinner for foster parents and kids. The National Civil Rights Museum will present “You Be the Judge,” a mock trial that explores what would have happened if James Earl Ray had stood trial for the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The event will take place this Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the museum, 450 Mulberry St. in Memphis. It is free for members and $10 for nonmembers.
