The ABA Retirement Funds Program is hosting a free webinar on the role of self-directed brokerage accounts (SDBA) within retirement plans. The session will be held this Wednesday at noon Central Daylight Time. The Eastern Grand Division of the Tennessee Appellate Courts will hold a blood drive Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the courthouse at 505 Main Street in downtown Knoxville. All donors will receive a free t-shirt and coupons for Chick-fil-A and Texas Roadhouse. The American Red Cross has information about donor eligibility requirements.

A monument honoring women's suffrage and the suffragists of Tennessee will be unveiled at Centennial Park in Nashville on Aug. 26, during a special event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Speakers at the event will include Nashville Mayor Megan Barry, Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillian, Knoxville Mayor Madeline Rogero and Memphis Mayor Jim Strickland, among others. The date was chosen to coincide with Women's Equality Day, which commemorates the anniversary of the signing of the 19th Amendment into law.

The fourth annual Muscadine Balloon Fiesta will take place Sept. 23 and 24 at the Tsali Notch Vineyard, 140 Harrison Rd. in Madisonville. The event will feature balloon rides, live music, food, games and an inflatable Kid’s Zone. Each night at dusk, 20 hot air balloons will be lighted for a Balloon Glow set to music. On Friday, the event will run from 3-10 p.m. On Saturday, the event will run from 1-10 p.m. All proceeds will support CASA Monroe.

The Davidson County General Sessions Court will hold its annual expungement clinic Aug. 6 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at New Covenant Christian Church, 2201 Osage St., Nashville 37208. Attorney volunteers are needed and a meeting for prospective volunteers is set for tomorrow at 3 p.m. in the General Sessions Judges Library on the fourth floor of the Justice A. A. Birch Building. Judge Rachel Bell, presiding judge of the court, is organizing the meeting and the clinic. Bell reports that more than 300 people usually attend the clinic.
