Legal Aid of East Tennessee will host two general advice clinics this week in Johnson City and Kingsport. The Johnson City clinic will take place tomorrow from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the American Legion, 409 E. Market St. The Kingsport clinic will be held on Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the United Steel Worker’s Building, 243 E. Charlemont Ave.

A portrait unveiling of former Nashville judge Seth Walker Norman will take place Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Justice A.A. Birch Building, 408 Second Ave. North, Ste. 6100, Nashville 37201. The Knoxville YWCA will host its 25th Annual Race Against Racism and Diversity Day on Jan. 18 at the Phyllis Wheatley Center, 124 S. Cruz St., Knoxville 37915. The Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee & the Cumberlands will hold its monthly legal help clinic at the Gallatin Civic Center tomorrow from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The center is located at 210 Albert Gallatin Ave., Gallatin 37066. An open house is scheduled to celebrate the opening of the new Monroe County Justice Center in Madisonville this weekend, the Advocate & Democrat reports. The center will be open for visitors on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. The center is located at 4500 New Hwy 68, Madisonville 37354.
