The TBA Juvenile & Children’s Law Section will host a virtual forum on Dec. 3 at 9 a.m. CST. The program, worth two general and two dual hours of CLE credit, will offer enhanced resource guidelines, a discussion of the issues faced by LGBTQ youth and the impacts of racial diversity in rural communities. Join the TBA Administrative Law Section for its annual forum on Dec. 3 from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. CDT. Worth two general and one dual CLE hours, the program will begin with a session covering Supreme Court changes to the Rules of Professional Conduct and the Rules for Disciplinary Enforcement. It will also feature a session on recent updates related to the Tennessee Public Records and Open Meetings Act and a panel discussion that explores the UAPA and environmental contested cases. Learn how to succeed in the Court of Criminal Appeals by taking part in the upcoming boot camp from the TBA’s Appellate Practice Section. Court of Criminal Appeals Boot Camp 2021 will allow attendees to observe oral arguments in real cases being presented to the court and afterwards hear an analysis from judges and the lawyers who participated in the arguments, who will discuss preparation and give tips and considerations for deciding to seek appellate review. The TBA Labor & Employment Law Section will present two webcasts in November. The first, Wage and Hour Basics on Nov. 17, will feature Casey Duhart with Waller covering the fundamentals of state and federal regulations. Attendees also will learn about overtime, working hours and pitfalls of this practice area. On Nov. 18,  Greg Grisham with Fisher Phillips will present ADA Basics for Non-Employment Attorneys. The webcast will provide an overview of Title I of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) for attorneys who do not focus on this practice area or would like to learn more about the ADA.
