More than 25 Tennessee attorneys presented educational programming during last week’s Tennessee Bar Association annual convention and several of those sessions will soon be available online for those unable to attend. The Bench/Bar program on Leadership and Professionalism in Tennessee’s Bench and Bar features three separate panels, one moderated by Shelby County Judge Gina Higgins, one by Nashville lawyer and TBA Vice President Ed Lanquist and one by Immediate Past TBA President Sherie Edwards. Also coming to the TBA’s online CLE platform will be the Better Right Now sessions, one featuring Oscar Carr of the Experiential Healing Center and panels moderated by Lisa Cole and Michael Holder from Lewis Thomason. The Tennessee Bar Association’s Disability Law Section will host a Zoom videoconference roundtable discussion on July 21 at 2:30 p.m. CDT. The event will be an open discussion guided by Administrative Law Judge Randolph W. Alden, who will address the return of in-person hearings. The session is free to all TBA members but registration is required. The section also is making plans for its 2022 Annual Forum. The Disability Law Forum will take place Sept. 30 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. CDT. Watch for details coming soon about the program agenda and speakers.

The TBA’s annual Court Square Series, designed to provide attorneys with the latest developments in multiple areas of the law, will make its last stop in Jackson on June 7. The three-hour event will begin at noon CDT with a networking lunch with TBA leadership, followed by a session on attorney well-being with J. Dusty King of King & King PLC, and an ethics update from Board of Professional Responsibility Disciplinary Counsel Andrew Campbell. The program will be held at the Jackson Chamber of Commerce, 197 Auditorium St., Jackson 38301. The TBA’s annual Court Square Series, designed to provide attorneys with the latest developments in multiple areas of the law, is underway and will be making a stop in Chattanooga on June 3. The three-hour event will begin at noon EDT with a networking lunch with TBA President Sherie Edwards, followed by a session on preventing attorney burnout with Dr. Kristen Black, an ethics update from Board of Professional Responsibility Disciplinary Counsel Jim Milam, and a discussion on the latest in labor and employment law with Kathleen Siciliano. The program will be held at the law firm of Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel.
