The TBA Immigration Law Section will host its annual forum live in Nashville on May 10 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. CDT. Immigration Section Chair Arléne Amarante, a professor at the Lincoln Memorial University Duncan School of Law, will produce the program, which will offer five hours of general credit. Save the date for the TBA’s 27th Annual Labor & Employment Law Forum, which will take place May 5 in Nashville. The forum brings together labor and employment attorneys and in-house counsel to learn from top professionals in the labor and employment arena. This year’s program will provide practical insights on emerging trends and critical issues, including “the new NLRB,” updates to FLSA case law, a judicial panel of state and federal judges, how to conduct effective mediations, and an ethics presentation on interviewing witnesses within the workplace.

Join the Construction Law Section in person in Nashville on Jan. 27 for this year’s Construction Law Forum. The 2023 program will focus on trying a construction dispute from start to finish. Topics to be covered include prerequisites to claim presentation, preparing the case for hearing in litigation and arbitration, a view from the bench and the arbitrator's perspective, and the ethical analysis of how far a lawyer can go in presenting damages in negotiation, mediation and litigation.
