Make plans now to join the TBA YLD's Civil Rights Walking Tour in Chattanooga on Oct. 13. This unique CLE will run from 1:30-5 p.m. EDT and offer two hours of dual CLE credit. Participants will visit a number of important landmarks in the city's fight for civil rights and learn about the legal history that has made Chattanooga a more inclusive place to live and work.

Hosted by the TBA Family Law Section, this event will examine how domestic law intersects with other legal segments to provide a more holistic view to incorporate into practice. Speakers include Chattanooga family law attorney Barry Gold with McWilliams, Gold & Larramore and TBA's Director of Public Policy and Government Affairs Berkley Schwarz. The program will run from 1-3:30 p.m. EDT in the Chattanooga office of Baker Donelson.

Registration is open for this year's Disability Law Forum, which will be in person for the first time since 2019! Make plans to join your colleagues on Oct. 20 at Bluegrass Yacht & Country Club in Hendersonville. Attendees can earn up to three general and one dual CLE credits. Sessions will cover a variety of topics applicable to disability law practitioners, including ways to prepare a successful GRID case, a session featuring best practices from a vocational expert, a DDS/OHO update and an ethics course designed to help you "un-stick" stuck cases. A happy hour will follow the day's programming.

The YLD is replaying three CLE webcasts from earlier in the year to help lawyers refresh and rejuvenate their practice. The three one-hour programs will be broadcast in August from noon to 1 p.m. CDT each day. Join Immediate Past TBA President Tasha Blakney, Immediate Past TBA YLD President Brittany Faith and their colleagues for informative and lively talks on How to Measure Success on Aug. 14, How to Log Off When Your Workday is Done on Aug. 25 and How to Use Your Engagement Letter on Aug. 30. The first program will teach the business concept of key performance indicators for lawyers, focusing on the different ways to measure success, how to hit goalposts all year round instead of waiting until the end of the year, and how to self-evaluate including receipts, hours and other trackable key performance indicators.

Registration is now open for the TBA's Law & Culture in Ireland CLE program scheduled for May 2024. Two travel options are available: a four-night trip to Dublin and a six-night trip to Dublin and Belfast. In conjunction with CLEAbroad, travelers will engage with local experts, academics, officials and change makers who will offer in-depth commentary on the EU and UK legal-political systems, economics, environmental justice, history and religion. In Dublin, the group also will explore ancient castles, visit landmarks, museums and notable legal institutions, and sample local cuisine. In Belfast, travelers will learn about the region's unique political history, Good Friday Agreement, ongoing reconciliation efforts and peace process.
