Save the date for the TBA’s 27th Annual Labor & Employment Law Forum, which will take place May 5 in Nashville. The forum brings together labor and employment attorneys and in-house counsel to learn from top professionals in the labor and employment arena. This year’s program will provide practical insights on emerging trends and critical issues, including “the new NLRB,” updates to FLSA case law, a judicial panel of state and federal judges, how to conduct effective mediations, and an ethics presentation on interviewing witnesses within the workplace.

The TBA Young Lawyers Division is offering three one-hour webcasts to help lawyers refresh and rejuvenate their practice. The programs all will be held on Jan. 26. The TBA Business Law Section will present its annual forum on April 21 both online and in-person. The focus of the program will be business transactions in the news and how that applies to those practicing in the state of Tennessee. Join the event virtually or at the Nashville office of Bass, Berry & Sims from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. CST and make sure to stick around for a networking reception immediately following the program. The TBA is bringing its award-winning CLE programming to Savannah on March 22. The Court Square program is designed to provide attorneys with the latest developments in multiple areas of the law. Start the afternoon with a lunch and learn networking session with TBA leadership. Other topic areas will be announced soon. The event will run from 11:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. CST at the Venue on Main in Savannah.

Join the Construction Law Section in person in Nashville on Jan. 27 for this year’s Construction Law Forum. The 2023 program will focus on trying a construction dispute from start to finish. Topics to be covered include prerequisites to claim presentation, preparing the case for hearing in litigation and arbitration, a view from the bench and the arbitrator's perspective, and the ethical analysis of how far a lawyer can go in presenting damages in negotiation, mediation and litigation.
