The CLE package offers 15 hours of credit in a variety of practice areas while allowing time to enjoy the beautiful slopes and one of Colorado's premier ski resorts. The YLD is replaying a series of CLE webcasts from earlier in the year to help lawyers refresh and rejuvenate their practice. Tune in on Aug. 30 from noon to 1 p.m. CDT for the final installment and learn how to use an engagement letter to protect your practice. A panel will discuss what should be included in an engagement letter to set the tone of the attorney/client relationship and protect yourself, your license and firm. Topics will include what pitfalls to watch out for, common questions potential clients may have, and how to talk to clients about ethical concerns.

The TBA Young Lawyers Division is replaying three CLE webcasts from earlier in the year to help lawyers refresh and rejuvenate their practice. On Aug. 25, join colleagues for How to Log Off When Your Workday is Done. This program will focus on carving out time for yourself even when others expect you to be available at a moment’s notice. Panelists will discuss tips and tricks for setting boundaries around your personal time, managing expectations with clients and other attorneys, incorporating wellness into your day, and the benefits of logging off and getting out of the office.

Hosted by the TBA Family Law Section, the Intersections of Family Law CLE will examine how domestic law intersects with other legal segments, providing a more holistic view to incorporate into practice. Sessions will cover litigation regarding closely held businesses in divorces and criminal law considerations for domestic lawyers. A networking reception will follow the program. The first program will teach the business concept of key performance indicators for lawyers, focusing on the different ways to measure success, how to hit goalposts all year round instead of waiting until the end of the year, and how to self-evaluate including receipts, hours and other trackable key performance indicators.

Join colleagues on Aug. 3 at noon CDT for Real Estate Essentials 2023: Cybersecurity Considerations in Real Estate Transactions. This program will cover aspects of safeguarding information from cyber threats specific to real estate transactions. David Palmer, a supervisory special agent in the FBI Memphis field office will lead the session.
