This year's Creditor's Practice Forum will take place tomorrow in Nashville. The program, which offers three general and one dual credits, will cover topics including AI and its application to law practice, charging orders and related post judgement strategies, and using contractual and statutory liens to increase likelihood of payment. The program will conclude with a "tips and tricks" session presented by bankruptcy attorneys.

TBA’s 23rd Annual Health Law Primer and 35th Annual Health Law Forum make their return to Nashville in just a few weeks. The primer, which will take place on Nov. 1 from noon to 4:30 p.m. CDT at the Nashville office of Bass, Berry & Sims, will focus on introductory topics, while the forum, set for Nov. 2-3 at the Music City Center, will dig into topics such as AI, the False Claims Act, No Surprises Act, telehealth, antitrust laws, fraud and abuse, Tennessee legislative update, state case law review and ethics. Registration is open for this year's Disability Law Forum, which will be in person for the first time since 2019! Make plans to join your colleagues on Oct. 20 at Bluegrass Yacht & Country Club in Hendersonville. Attendees can earn up to three general and one dual CLE credits. Sessions will cover a variety of topics applicable to disability law practitioners, including ways to prepare a successful GRID case, a session featuring best practices from a vocational expert, a DDS/OHO update and an ethics course designed to help you "un-stick" stuck cases. A happy hour will follow the day's programming.

TBA's Corporate Counsel Section will host two webcasts this fall. The first, "Cybersecurity and Data Privacy: Regulations, Cyber Threats, and AI" will take place this Friday at noon CDT. The webinar will focus on data privacy and cybersecurity issues and the complex challenges that lawyers must understand to effectively represent their clients. The second webcast, Ethical Issues for In-House Counsel, is scheduled for Dec. 7 at noon CST. Laura Chastain, ethics counsel for the Board of Professional Responsibility (BPR), will discuss Formal Ethics Opinion 2022-F-168 regarding in-house counsel who reside and are licensed in other states.

Make plans now to join the TBA YLD's Civil Rights Walking Tour in Chattanooga this Friday, Oct. 13. This unique CLE will run from 1:30-5 p.m. EDT and offer two hours of CLE credit. Participants will visit a number of important landmarks in the city's fight for civil rights and learn about the legal history that has made Chattanooga a more inclusive place to live and work. The event will take place rain or shine. If raining, attendees will visit the federal courthouse and then gather at Miller & Martin for a presentation on the other locations and a reception.
