The Go Solo and I am Solo series offers tips and best practices; a perfect combo CLE for lawyers who want to start their own practice. For those who are in their first few years of solo practice – advanced topics will help you kick it up a notch. 

On Monday, the Artificial Intelligence in the Practice of Law CLE will analyze how AI is being utilized for tasks like legal research, contract review, e-discovery and practice management. Can't attend in person? Watch a webcast of the program from your office or at home.

The TBA will host a one-day conference called TBA Mashup: Opportunities Unlocked on Feb. 17. On the schedule are Pro Bono in Action training sessions, presentations about TBA member benefits as well as CLE programs covering technology updates, cybersecurity, drone law, e-discovery and more. Also planned is a Mini-Hackathon, in which lawyers will learn how a variety of professions find technology-assisted solutions to everyday problems. Obtain the most up-to-date information at this year's Corporate Counsel Forum on March 3 in Nashville. Speakers will address cyber security and privacy, as well as productivity tools for the present-day corporate counsel. Another session covers the EEOC's new rules on what incentive employers may provide to employees who provide medical information as part of a wellness program under the Americans with Disabilities Act. TBA’s International Law Section is hosting its annual CLE on Jan. 19. This year’s program will address new changes in international law and the evolving landscape of the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Lawyers can attend in person or tune in via live webcast.

Both will be part of the first TBA Mashup, a full-day of activities and free programming set for Feb. 17 at the Tennessee Bar Center in conjunction with the annual TBA Law Tech UnConference CLE program. During the day, you'll be able to learn about the current state of health insurance for small firms, how to get involved in pro bono activities, how to use the Fastcase TopForm bankruptcy filing software and more. At the annual TBA Law Tech UnConference CLE program, you can take as many or as few hours as you need. Registration will be open all day. The Tennessee Bar Association will offer live CLE from 7 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. on Thursday and Friday at the Tennessee Bar Center. Attend anytime at your convenience and take as few or as many hours and you like. A variety of topics will be covered offering both general and dual credit. The TBA also has more than 300 online video and interactive courses available on demand.
