On Oct. 24, this year’s Court Square CLE will be held at First Farmers Bank in Columbia. Tim Takacs will cover succession planning in all stages: opening your practice, transitioning to another firm, scaling back your practice due to disability or health, retiring, or closing your practice.

On Oct. 24, this year’s Court Square CLE in Jackson will be held at the Chamber of Commerce. Chuck Holliday will address why you should be videotaping depositions in “small” cases and the technical tips you need to do it. Judge Allen Phillips and Judge Amber Luttrell will participate in a panel discussion, offering trial practice tips before the Court of Workers’ Compensation Claims. Finally, Marty Phillips will discuss appellate advocacy.

On Sept. 22, TBA CLE will bring the Court Square Series to the Farms Golf Club in Dyersburg. Public Defender Sean Day will provide case law updates and review statutory law governing criminal cases. Bankruptcy Trustee Molly Williams will provide guidance on real property issues in bankruptcy cases.
