The TBA will host a Court of Appeals Boot Camp on Oct. 8 in Nashville, offering lawyers the opportunity to observe oral arguments in real cases and hear analysis from participating attorneys on preparation and advocacy strategies. The event, designed to strengthen skills in both written and oral appellate advocacy, also will feature a networking lunch for participants. The TBA Construction Law Section will host the inaugural Joint Georgia/Tennessee Construction Conference Oct. 9-10 in Chattanooga. The two-day event will kick off with a welcome networking reception followed by a day of high quality CLE sessions for both Georgia and Tennessee lawyers. Topics include regional differences in construction law, a view from the bench session featuring judges and arbitrators, insurance 101, AI and ethics, construction defect trends and a case study session. The TBA will host the second annual TBA Conference on Artificial Intelligence & the Law on Dec. 12 at the Tennessee Bankers Association’s Bradley L. Barrett Training Center in Nashville. The full-day seminar will explore the impact of generative AI on law practice, courtroom dynamics and practice management. Presenters include Nashville lawyers A.J. Bahou with Bradley and  Bill Ramsey with Womble Bond Dickinson, Memphis lawyer Lucian Pera with Adams and Reese, and Chattanooga lawyer Neal Pinkston with Pinkston Law. Make plans now to attend the TBA’s 2025 Health Law Primer and Health Law Forum this fall. The primer will take place Nov. 12 at Barnes & Thornburg in Nashville. Designed for those new to health practice, that program will provide a general health law overview and practical tips to identify and avoid the pitfalls of real-life situations in the heavily regulated health care industry. Then on Nov. 13 and 14, the forum will take place at the Music City Center in downtown Nashville.
