The 2020 Disability Law Forum will offer a full day of legal updates for disability law practitioners. Speakers include Social Security Administration Administrative Law Judge H. The TBA’s 17th annual Bankruptcy Law Forum will take place on May 15-17 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Gatlinburg. Attendees will hear bankruptcy case law updates, a panel addressing the Small Business Reorganization Act and more. The TBA Business Law Section will hold its annual forum on April 30 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Tennessee Bar Center in Nashville. The course will focus on a number of key tax matters relevant to business law practice in Tennessee, including choice of entity, taxation of LLCs, hot topics in entity-based transactional tax planning, state tax incentives and federal opportunity zones. The TBA’s 2020 Federal Appellate Forum will take place March 25 in Nashville and feature 6th Circuit Court of Appeals Judges Jane Stranch, John Bush and John Rogers. An interactive panel with the judges will address best practices for federal appeals. The CLE also will include sessions on civil and criminal case law updates, how to make the most out of an oral argument and writing an effective brief. The TBA’s Estate Planning & Probate Forum 2020 is set for Feb. 21 in Franklin at the Embassy Suites Cool Springs. This year’s program offers seven hours of CLE, including an hour of dual credit.
