The TBA’s Family Law Section will hold its Spring Forum on March 4 at the Tennessee Bar Center. The course will cover hot topics for family law practioners including updates on child support, the Alimony Bench Book and legislative issues expected to arise this year. The program also will include training on how to be a guardian ad litem, offered in connection with the TBA Young Lawyers Division.

The TBA’s 2020 Animal Law Forum will provide updates on trends and advancements in animal law, while attendees enjoy fun activities at the Nashville Zoo. The zoo’s president and chief executive officer will be on hand to discuss conservation efforts, laws affecting procurement and care for zoo animals and more. The program will take place on April 3 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Nashville Zoo, 3777 Nolensville Pike. Zoo admission, breakfast and lunch are included with the program.

The TBA’s International Law Forum will take place March 27 at the Tennessee Bar Center. The program provides resources for Tennessee lawyers practicing in all aspects of international law, with a particular focus on international business. Knowledgeable and experienced presenters will provide important and timely information around key topics such as cross border taxation, dangers of distribution and foreign investment. The TBA’s 2020 Federal Appellate Forum will take place March 25 in Nashville and feature 6th Circuit Court of Appeals Judges Jane Stranch, John Bush and John Rogers. An interactive panel with the judges will address best practices for federal appeals. The CLE also will include sessions on civil and criminal case law updates, how to make the most out of an oral argument and writing an effective brief. Don’t miss this opportunity to join judges and colleagues for this unique forum. The course offers four CLE credits (one dual and three general).

The TBA’s Estate Planning & Probate Forum 2020 is set for Feb. 21 in Franklin at the Embassy Suites Cool Springs. This year’s program offers six hours of CLE, including an hour of dual credit. Programming will focus on timely, relevant topics to help you stay on top of trends in this practice area and will include the ever-popular legislative update and probate panel sessions.
