The TBA’s Young Lawyers Division (YLD), in partnership with the General, Solo & Small Firm Section, will host a live Rookie Series webcast on Jan. 29, 2026, at noon CST focused on opening a solo or small law firm. The TBA will host “The Ethical Campaign 2025” on Dec. 2 in Nashville, an advanced-level program for state and local lawmakers, judges, candidates, campaign leaders and their counsel focused on ethics and professionalism in the 2026 election cycle. The TBA is launching a new series that will bring lawyers compelling CLE webcasts from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. CST. The Sunrise Series will begin Dec. 2 with “College Mascots and Legal Ethics: Lessons from the Sidelines,” during which legal educator Stuart Teicher will use tigers, eagles and other college icons to explore what mascots can teach lawyers about loyalty, character and protecting clients. Then on Dec. 9, Teicher will present "Good Lawyers Gone Bad: Ethics Lessons from True Lawyer Slime and Crime." The TBA will host the 2026 Construction Law Forum on Jan. 23, 2026, at the Tennessee Bankers Association’s Bradley L. Barrett Training Center in Nashville. The full-day continuing legal education program, offering 6.5 hours of CLE credit, will offer two learning tracks. The first will offer introductory sessions in the morning covering lien rights, case law updates and common construction law mistakes. The second will focus on advanced sessions in the afternoon on the Prompt Pay Act, delay claims, ethics and artificial intelligence in construction law. Participants may register for morning, afternoon or full-day sessions, with programming designed to benefit both new and seasoned construction law practitioners.
