Starting at 9 a.m. CST, Teicher will host Learn by Doing: An Hour of Legal Writing Exercises, a look at how to improve your legal writing. At 10:15 a.m., Teicher will take up Airplane Etiquette and Attorney Ethics, followed by Taylor Swift is a Genius. The TBA YLD's Rookie's Guide series continues on March 28 at noon CDT with Memphis attorney Danielle Woods. In this installment of the series focused on estate planning, attendees will be exposed to estate planning essentials from will drafting and trust creation to asset protection. Join your colleagues for an Immigration Law webcast on March 25 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. CDT. Two lawyers with extensive experience in immigration court and a retired immigration judge will explore some ways to avoid pitfalls in immigration court. The 2024 Elder Law Forum will take place in person July 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. CDT at the Belmont University College of Law. This annual staple for Tennessee attorneys provides insight from top professionals while allowing attendees to meet with other lawyers in the practice area. Topics will include litigation in elder law, dementia concerns, conservatorships, helping clients suffering from dementia, ethics, and much more.

Make plans now to join colleagues on May 10 for the inaugural TBA YLD Trial College. The program, which will be held at  Belmont University College of Law, will cover a range of litigation topics, including getting prepared for trial, putting together a trial notebook, prepping witnesses, conducting Voir Dire, planning for and presenting opening statements and more. The day will start at 8 a.m. CDT with registration, followed by programming from 8:30 a.m to 4:45 p.m. at the Randall and Sadie Baskin Center, 1901 15th Ave. S., Nashville 37212. All registrants will receive a copy of Tennessee Rules of Civil Procedure and Evidence by The Law Office of John Day, P.C.. In addition, several copies of the new edition of Tennessee Law of Civil Trial will be given away. All members of the legal community are invited to join the conference speakers and registrants at Chago's Cantina located at 2015 Belmont Blvd. in Nashville for a networking happy hour after the program.
