Bio:

Karin Anderson is corporate counsel and healthcare consultant for PYA, P.C. , a national healthcare advisory services firm providing consulting, audit, and tax services. Karin holds more than 30 years of healthcare regulatory and legal experience focused on compliance with the laws necessary for operations, company reputation,  and risk reduction. Her focus areas include privacy/HIPAA/cybersecurity, contracts (vendors, physician/hospital) and compliance with fraud and abuse laws. 

Karin began her career as an oncology nurse at academic medical centers, which provided both clinical and operational insights into healthcare. As a healthcare lawyer, Karin has experience working with publicly traded and nonprofit healthcare corporations to represent hospital systems, healthcare facilities, and providers. She has also served as an adjunct professor of Health Law at Lincoln Memorial University School of Law.  She is a frequent speaker on healthcare compliance topics at national corporate meetings and healthcare industry conferences.
