Bio:

Jonathan specializes in patent portfolio management practices and enforcement to protect the current and future business opportunities of clients. Clients appreciate his ability to convert complex technology assets into useful US and international patent rights. Jonathan has pursed complex reissue and reexamination applications and appeals to the Patent Trial and Appeal Board and the Federal Circuit. He provides due diligence evaluations and opinions regarding the strength, value, and design around for new inventions and existing patent rights, including in the context of Hatch-Waxman litigation.  Jonathan also has experience with contentious international and US patent procedures including Opposition, Inter Partes Reexam, Inter Partes Review, and Covered Business Method proceedings with the USPTO.

Jonathan has substantial experience in organic and inorganic chemistry as well as the electrical and mechanical arts. Specific technologies include Electrochemical, Chemical, Optical, and Biological Analytic Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals, Drug Delivery, Signal Processing, Trace Element and Metabolite Analysis, Small-Molecule Catalysts, Polymers, Dispersants, Emulsions, Suspensions, Nanoscale Materials and Microfluidic Devices, Refrigeration, OLED’s, Ore Extraction and Processing.
