Bio:

Joseph D. (“Jody”) Prestia is a Visiting Assistant Professor at Lincoln Memorial University’s Duncan School of Law (DSOL). He is a former Attorney Advisor for the Small Business Administration (SBA) and was a solo practitioner working with small business clients, principally in data privacy and cybersecurity law.  He is a Certified Information Privacy Professional/US (CIPP/US) through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).

He is currently serves on the Executive Council of the Tennessee Bar Association’s Law Practice Technology & Management Section and is a Senior Advisor to the National Security Committee in the American Bar Association’s International Law Section (ABA-ILS).  He is a past Vice Chair of the ABA-ILS Privacy, Cybersecurity, and Digital Rights Committee, Anti-Money Laundering Committee, and the Europe (i.e., European Law) Committee.  He also the Immediate Past Chair of the Tennessee Bar Association’s International Law Section.

He is licensed in Tennessee, Texas, and the District of Columbia.
