A group of 50 early voters got ballots with the wrong congressional race on them, the Daily Memphian reports, citing a Shelby County Election Commission announcement. The mix-up was discovered Monday at Berclair Church of Christ where voters who should have received ballots for the 8th Congressional district race received ballots for the 9th Congressional district race instead. Corrected ballots were issued for the rest of that day and throughout the early voting period that ended yesterday. “Out of an abundance of caution, we then conducted another thorough review of all other precincts and no further issues were identified,” Shelby County Elections Administrator Linda Phillips said in an emailed statement to the paper.
