NASHVILLE, January 26, 2022 — Applications are now being accepted for the 2022 Reporters Workshop. Sponsored jointly by the Tennessee Bar Association’s Communication Law Section, the Tennessee Association of Broadcasters and the Tennessee Press Association Foundation, the program will be held in person April 22-23 in Nashville.

Organizers will select 15 print, online, television and/or radio journalists who want to develop a deeper understanding of media law issues that may affect their everyday work, including access to government information, defamation and privacy concerns in reporting, and other timely topics.

Journalists interested in attending should apply before 5 p.m. CST on March 1. Student journalists are also encouraged to apply. In selecting the 15-member class, organizers will seek to include a balance of voices. Class selection will be completed by March 14, and those selected for participation will be notified by email.

The selected journalists will receive a stipend to defray the cost of travel.

The workshop will begin on the afternoon of Friday, April 22, at the offices of the Tennessee Association of Broadcasters. Following opening sessions, there will be a gathering for speakers and participants. Saturday will include another set of sessions and lunch before concluding in the early afternoon.
