The Tennessee Public Charter School Commission — which will take over charter school authorization and supervision duties from the State Board of Education in 2021 — is seeking a general counsel to provide legal services and guidance for executive and policy decision-making, and ensure compliance with federal and state statutes and regulations affecting elementary and secondary schools, governmental entities and nonprofit organizations. Expertise in K-12 education law and an appreciation of the unique role of charter schools is required.
