Nashville judge Randall Wyatt said today that he is retiring after 43 years on the bench, The Tennessean reports. His last day will be Sept. 1. “I have enjoyed my time for the last 58 years working in the criminal justice system as a police officer, FBI agent, assistant district attorney, and finally as a judge for the last 43 years," Wyatt said. A Nashville native, he was first elected in 1982. Gov. Bill Haslam will appoint a successor to fill the remainder of Wyatt’s term, which was set to expire in 2022.
