Sue Stockton, executive assistant to the 10th Judicial District Chancery Court, has announced her retirement after nearly 40 years of service. The court reports that Stockton has earned praise and expressions of gratitude from attorneys and clerks throughout the state for her courtesy and efficiency in aiding the chancellors of the district. To say thanks, the Bradley County, McMinn County and Monroe County bar associations are hosting a reception for Stockton on Dec. 8 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the McMinn County Courthouse in Athens.
