TBA senior counselor Livie Frank Mullinax Jr. died July 2 at the age of 98. Originally from Watertown, Mullinax enlisted in the Air Force and flew fighter aircraft to England and North Africa during World War II. In 1942, he was shot down and captured, spending nine months in prison camps before escaping. After the war, he returned to Tennessee and earned a law degree from Cumberland University. Mullinax took a job as an insurance adjuster with The Tennessee Company and opened a new office for them in Chattanooga. He opened his own adjusting company in Cleveland, where he worked until he retired. Mullinax was a strong supporter of the 49th Fighter Squadron Association.
