Well-known Tennessee trial lawyer Curtis Freeman “Curt” Hopper of Savannah died Jan. 9 after a 16 month battle with lung cancer. He was 51. A 1992 graduate of the Nashville School of Law, Hopper practiced with Hopper & Plunk until 2002 when he went into solo practice with a focus on criminal defense and domestic relations. Hopper also served as the Hardin County attorney from 2002 until 2014. He was a member of the Hardin Bar Association, Tennessee County Attorneys Association, Tennessee Criminal Defense Attorneys and the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Darryl Worley Cancer Center. The Tennessean has more on his life.
