Failure to File the Annual Fee and/or IOLTA Report

The Tennessee Supreme Court has issued a number of orders suspending Tennessee-licensed attorneys who have not paid their 2014 annual registration fee to the Board of Professional Responsibility and/or have not filed a mandatory compliance statement that eligible client funds are held in accounts participating in the Interest on Lawyers' Trust Accounts (IOLTA) program. Those names appear first. The court also has issued separate orders for those attorneys who filed their IOLTA report but did not pay their fee, and those attorneys who paid their fee but did not file the IOLTA report. Those names appear after the joint suspension list.

Beginning in January 2012, the court began entering suspension orders on a monthly basis, based on attorney birthdates. Suspension lists will be issued each month for those attorneys who do not meet filing requirements for that month.

Attorneys who have since complied with the requirements, and for whom notice has been received from the court, are noted as reinstated.

The TBA provides this information as a member service and not as an official record of an attorney's status. Interested individuals should check with the Board of Professional Responsibility for the official status of a Tennessee licensed attorney.
