Effective July 14, the Tennessee Supreme Court suspended Steven Carl Frazier from the practice of law for nine months, with 30 days to be served on active suspension and the remainder on probation with conditions. The court directed Frazier to employ a practice monitor during the probationary period and incur no new misconduct complaints. The court took the action after receiving three complaints. It found that Frazier failed to adequately represent clients, communicate with his clients, act diligently and expedite litigation. Frazier agreed to a conditional guilty plea acknowledging his conduct violated Tennessee Rules of Professional Conduct 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.16, 3.2 and 8.4. The court also imposed conditions on any future reinstatement to the practice of law.
