Tennessee's unemployment rates declined in nearly half of its counties in August, with Sevier County recording the lowest rate at 2.5%, according to a report from the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development. Moore County and Williamson County followed with rates of 2.6% and 2.7%. Houston County had the highest rate at 5.7%. The statewide unemployment rate remained below 5% in all but three counties.
